Chiropractic Care for Fertility Problems

Chiropractic Care and FertilityAs a wellness-oriented provider of health care, Dr. Wolff is often faced with couples that have a delay in conception. Preliminary research indicates that chiropractic care can help fertility problems.

Care from Dr. Wolff may alleviate several risk factors. Because countless numbers of nerves enter and exit the spinal cord between vertebral bones, subluxations may impede flow through the entire body, including the reproductive system. Chiropractic adjustments can improve the internal balance of women's bodies and enhance the likelihood of conception.

In addition to chiropractic care, Dr. Wolff also would like you to consider the following:

  • Emotional stress can be a major cause of infertility
  • A variety of medications are linked with fertility problems
  • A diet of whole foods, low in sugar and animal fats, high in whole grains and trans fats may boost fertility
  • Practicing regular meditation may prevent infertility
  • Acupuncture has been shown to boost fertility
  • Smokers are 3.4 times times more likely to take more than a year to conceive
  • Women who consume full-fat dairy products have an easier time getting pregnant. Hormones in meats and dairy may affect fertility. Choose an organic diet
  • Limit caffeine intake. Women who consume more than 500 mg of caffeine per day are less likely to conceive within 9.5 months than women who do not drink caffeinated beverages.
Chiropractic Care for Scoliosis

Scoliosis, how chiropractic care can helpScoliosis is an abnormal curvature of the spine. It affects girls twice as often as it affects boys, and usually appears in adolescence. Early diagnosis is important, since it's important to stop or slow a progressing curve to avoid surgical intervention.

Chiropractors undergo in-depth training in spinal health. Your chiropractor should be your first line of defense against scoliosis. Dr. Wolff will use spinal manipulations to lessen the curvature of the spine and closely monitor the curvature to make sure it isn't worsening or causing any other health problems.

If left untreated, scoliosis can cause a variety of problems such as:

  • A difference in shoulder height
  • Muscular prominence on one side
  • Breathing problems Heart problems.

If you are concerned about scoliosis, make sure to schedule an appointment with Dr. Wolff for a chiropractic check-up before turning to more aggressive treatment options.
